NIGHTMARE Heung-min Son thought Tottenham’s 7-2 thrashing to Bayern Munich was ‘a bad dream’

Heung-min Son did not want to believe Bayern Munich thrashed Tottenham 7-2 on Tuesday – and thought it was ‘a bad dream’.

The Bundesliga champions tore Spurs apart in their own backyard thanks to a Robert Lewandowski brace, Joshua Kimmich strike and four goals from former Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry.

Heung-min Son had given Tottenham the lead against Bayern Munich
Son had given Tottenham a 12th-minute lead as Mauricio Pochettino’s side went on to record the club’s heaviest home defeat in Europe.
The South Korea forward told Tottenham’s official website: “I was hurt, just like the fans. I felt that pain. It was a bad result and I didn’t want to believe it.

“I was thinking ‘please, is this just a bad dream?’ but what can we do now? It was so disappointing, sad, everything negative, but we have to carry on.”

The result saw Tottenham’s season go from bad to worse after being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by League Two minnows Colchester last week.
Spurs will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to struggling Brighton on Saturday, LIVE on talkSPORT.
